Since the Board has approved a working group on Federated Learning we thought it would be good to get started. We propose an initial call to define goal, how we want to go about them, and how we want to work together. Since we didn’t really figure out which mailing list to use (thanks Dinesh to pointing me to where they are :-) we're just writing to the invitees to the bi-weekly call. 

We would propose a first call next week Friday, 9/23, at 9AM Pacific Time. This seems to be a time that works for many. We’re open to other suggestions as well.
