Bring the science of analytics to the art of diplomacy. Serve as a Bureau Chief Data Officer (BCDO) and lead data efforts in one of many exciting mission areas using innovative analytical methods and modern technology platforms to inform strategic initiatives, shape foreign policy, and support data-informed bureau decision making. Bureau areas of focus include cybersecurity/technology, international security, climate and the environment, and international organizations and multilateral diplomacy.
BCDOs’ will help accelerate the Department’s first-ever #EnterpriseDataStrategy (EDS) which turns one-year old this week! As the Department celebrates this anniversary, this announcement shows another example of the EDS implementation. Since the signing of the EDS, the Department has made unprecedented strides in building a culture where employees routinely harness the power of data to achieve mission goals in foreign policy and management.
